Meeting of the Permanent Technical Secretariats from the 8 development regions

The first working meeting of the Permanent Technical Secretariats for Employment and Social Inclusion from the 8 Romanian development regions took place in the capital, on the 23rd of March 2009. The setting up of the Permanent Technical Secretariats is one element of the concept “Romanian partnership for employment and social inclusion”, a model which aims at implementing, in a Romanian context, the European principle of partnerships.

Thus, the main role of these partnerships from the 8 development regions is to efficiently support the Regional Pacts and the County Partnerships, through consultancy for the elaboration and implementation of projects, partnership networks, databases with support documents, resource centers, communication, and team building.

The meeting was attended by representatives of PTS-North West, PTS-West, PTS-South West Oltenia, PTS-Muntenia, PTS-South East, PTS-North East, PTS Center, PTS-Bucharest Ilfov, local and international experts. The next meeting of the PTS members will take place on the 12th of Mat 2009 at the headquarters of PTS-South East, Braila county.
