The project “Christian Social Teachings” at the end

On 5-7 September 2008 the last debate of the cycle “Christian Social Teachings” took place. The topic was “The Role of Christian Oriented Organizations in a Pluralist Society”. The debate was moderated by Mr. Joachim Herudek (EZA) and Mr. Jean-Paul Vermassen (AKW-Belgium) delivered the lectures. The participants discussed about “religion, society and state” and “the identity of Christian social organizations”. Mr. Jean-Paul Vermassen also briefly spoke about “the evolution of Christian-social thinking in Belgium and the Netherlands.”

At the end all the participants gave positive feedback both for this last debate and for the entire project.
